Contributors are reminded to take into account the following considerations when submitting their contributions to the Cohere Monthly Journal (the Journal).
1. Focus and Content
The Journal welcomes articles and opinion pieces that are broadly focused on promoting a refugee-led advocacy agenda. The Journal does not accept news updates or merely informational content, which can be shared on other dedicated sections of the Reframe Platform.
2. Format and Length
While the Journal is able to provide limited support, contributors are expected to submit their work in a fairly presentable format. Contributions that require substantive editing work may be returned to contributors with such a note. Contributions may range between 800 and 1000 words in length, the latter being the maximum limit.
3. Submission Process
Contributions must be first uploaded on the dedicated blogging page of the Reframe Platform from which Cohere will monthly select the best four articles to be included in the Journal. Only the four best articles selected monthly by Cohere for the Reframe Monthly Journal receive the $50 USD honorarium. Contributors whose articles are selected for inclusion in the Journal will receive an honorarium of USD 50 per contribution. Authors interested in having their contribution considered for inclusion in the Journal can also send a copy of their contribution to [email protected].
4. Fair Representation
To ensure a relatively fair representation of refugee voices, contributions by the same author/s will not be featured in consecutive editions of the Journal.
5. Forum for Shared Voices
After every issue of the Journal, contributors will be invited to a follow up webinar, known as Forum for Shared Voices, in which they will further articulate the main content of their articles, generating further discussion and awareness on refugee-led advocacy.
6. Questions
Questions for further clarification can be directed to [email protected].
