Association of Working Children and Youth - DRC

On January 10th, AEJT RD CONGO ASBL carried out a significant humanitarian action, distributing mattresses to 175 orphaned and displaced children, indirect victims of the M23 war in eastern DRC. These children, who lost their parents in the context of armed violence, come from various towns and villages in the provinces of South Kivu and North Kivu.

This assistance aims to improve their living and resting conditions, which are often very precarious in the reception centers. Through this act of solidarity, AEJT RD CONGO ASBL reaffirms its commitment to child protection, human dignity, and support for the most vulnerable populations affected by conflict. The organization is thus continuing its humanitarian mission by providing concrete responses to the urgent needs of children affected by the ongoing security crisis in the east of the country.
