Association of Working Children and Youth - DRC
In Uvira, AEJT-DRC, with financial support from GIZ through the QUALIPRO project, is continuing its efforts to strengthen the economic empowerment of displaced women and urban refugees. After receiving practical training in livestock farming and simplified management of income-generating activities, the beneficiaries received concrete support to launch their businesses. As part of this initiative, AEJT-DRC distributed chickens to 100 displaced and urban refugee women, each receiving three chickens to start a small-scale livestock farming operation. This initiative aims to improve their livelihoods, strengthen household food security, and generate income through the sale of eggs and poultry. .
