Empowering Refugee Girls Through School Chalk Production

As the second school term begins in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, YEACE is once again hard at work producing school chalk to support refugee and host community schools.

This initiative is more than chalk production. It is a pathway to girls’ empowerment, education support, and community transformation. Through this project, young refugee girls gain practical skills, leadership experience, and economic opportunities while contributing directly to improving education in their communities.

During the first term of 2026, we successfully supported six schools with free school chalk:

Today, we are preparing for the second term distribution, with a commitment to support five additional schools. Every piece of chalk produced represents hope, opportunity, and our belief that every child deserves access to quality education.
