This is about Lake Tanganyika, located in the territories of Uvira and Fizi, in eastern DRC, bordering Burundi, Tanzania, and Zambia. I want to address the challenges related to Lake Tanganyika. Its frequent floods, which sweep away tables and boats, often cause numerous deaths in the localities I mentioned. The area is called Luhanga, and cars from Bukavu or Uvira travel to Baraka or Misisi for gold mining, etc. The town of Fizi is also part of this area. But the biggest problem in the DRC is the roads, largely due to insecurity. The essence of this video, about Uvira, is that women are entirely preoccupied with their safety and health. This is why they suffer from various illnesses. All these negative factors, all this pollution, stem from the rivers that flow into Lake Tanganyika. However, many people use the lake water for swimming, washing dishes, or drinking. Let's not forget that this water is not meant to be used as a remedy or to improve the lives of everyone.
