"Uvira, May 12, 2026: A Historic Meeting"

As part of its contribution to promoting human rights, peace, and freedom for refugees, immigrants, internally displaced persons, and disaster victims, with a particular focus on facilitating refugee resettlement in host countries, their voluntary repatriation, and their integration into the community, CAPRIDIS, in collaboration with Sociv MSCO, organized an inter-community forum this Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the city of Uvira, South Kivu.

The theme of this meeting was: "How to Regulate the Circulation of Weapons and Ensure the Protection of the Population in a Community Already Troubled by Fear."

At the opening of this meeting, which addressed several important points, Mr. Alex Buchunga Bigera, coordinator of CAPRIDIS, welcomed everyone's participation and called for unity. He urged the banning of all... anti-values to give "Uzalendo" its full value, in order to build a prosperous nation.
