Hope and Haven Weekly Update

For the second week, we provided refreshments and snacks to students in Wad Alnoura during exams. We served daily meals to 250 students in Abu Karinka, East Darfur. Without urgent funding, this will be the last week of this kitchen and these students may lose their daily meal. Alongside DVSO, we carried out an emergency medical intervention to support El Ferdous Hospital in East Darfur.  This included the supply of intravenous fluids, medications, and medical supplies supporting measles response efforts. In partnership with DVSO and S&J Organisation, we provided daily meals to 70 orphaned and unaccompanied children in El Fasher for the third consecutive week. Our kitchens in Alhalfaya, Wad Alnoura and Heridanah served up a total of. 1600 free daily meals. In Chad, our free daily meal program for children and our free medical clinic continued to serve the refugee community in Al Malik Camp.
