Hope and haven refugees

SUDAN/CHAD UPDATE: May 24 marked the final day of our free kitchen in Abukarinka, East Darfur, which served daily meals to nearly 250 students. The kitchen closed due to lack of funding ($3,000/month needed) and we hope to reopen soon - children's regular access to food should be guaranteed. We successfully repaired the hut of a vulnerable family living with disabilities and provided essential beds and sleeping materials. The past week also saw Eid al-Adha meat distribution to thousands of families across White Nile State, Eastern Chad, Darfur, Khartoum State, and Al Jazirah State. This was made possible through crowdfunding support and our partners Darfur Victim Support Organisation, Wadi Al-Nahl Development Organisation and Bulento e.V. Sudan Nothilfe. Our food kitchens served another week of 1,600 meals daily to families across White Nile, Al Jazeera, and Khartoum States.
