Thank you for the question. At SARLN, we are careful in how we frame these issues and often refer to them as criminal activities rather than broadly labeling them as xenophobia. South Africa has strong, progressive refugee policies that promote dignity through inclusion, not camps. While some members have faced safety challenges, we focus on community dialogue and collaboration. Our priority is to support government efforts and help build peaceful, welcoming communities where diversity is respected and everyone can thrive.
