? Growing Skills, Food, and Opportunity — Together

Tuungane Mkono, one of the active community groups OHID works with in Base Camp 2, Rwamwanja, has expanded their garden egg planting as part of a shared learning and livelihood initiative. The garden serves as a practical learning site where members build hands-on knowledge, experience, and skills in vegetable growing.

Beyond learning, the harvest supports household food consumption while also generating income for the group — strengthening both nutrition and financial resilience. This progress was made possible through the Global Wellbeing Fund via the Cohere grant received last year, enabling farmers to practice improved farming methods and grow with confidence.
