TOMORROW VIJANA
Last week, Tomorrow Vijana together with the Opportunity International team led by@Noah ssempijja, @OgavuDaniel and the Community Development Officer (CDO) Rwamwanja, had the privilege of being hosted by Action Against Hunger in Nakivale Refugee Settlement for a learning visit on the Block Farming Model. The visit provided valuable insights into large-scale coordinated farming practices, showcasing agricultural activities being conducted on a 174-acre block farm, where different farmer groups manage various crop portfolios within the same land parcel. Our team toured the entire farming site, observed the production systems, and interacted with farmers who shared powerful testimonials on how the block farming approach has improved productivity, strengthened collective marketing, and enhanced access to inputs and extension services. This learning exchange offered practical lessons that Tomorrow Vijana and partners can adapt to strengthen farmer organization, promote collective production, and improve market
