Scaling Learning and Emotional Support (SLES) – Community Engagement Session At Wings to Fly Initiative (WFI), we believe that real transformation begins at home. Today, under our Scaling Learning and Emotional Support (SLES) program, we brought together 20 dedicated parents from our community in a powerful session that placed the emotional and social wellbeing of children at the heart of the conversation. Together, we explored the five core competencies of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) – self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These are not just skills for children to learn at school, but values that begin at home and are modeled by parents every day. ???? Parents shared experiences, asked questions, and reflected on their crucial role in shaping the next generation – not just academically, but emotionally and socially. It was a reminder that raising emotionally strong children is a community responsibility, and parents are the first teachers. ???? This was more than a session. It was a renewed commitment to raising children who are not only smart, but kind, resilient, and confident – ready to lead a brighter future for all. ✨ Thank you to all the parents who joined us. Your presence today is proof that when we invest in our children’s emotional well being, we invest in a better world.
