Hope and haven refugees
Sudan/Chad Update | Hope and Haven
CHAD (Al Malik Camp): Our free medical clinic provided consultations and treatment to 445 refugee patients. All departments—Emergency Care, Lab Services, Chronic Disease Management, Minor Surgery, and Pharmacy—remain operational. However, the lab urgently requires a replacement microscope eyepiece. Meanwhile, our Children’s Meals Center saw daily attendance fluctuate between 859 and 986 children, offering nutritious morning meals in a safe environment.
SUDAN: With generous support from S&J Together for Sudan, we continued the Children’s Kitchen project in Golo Locality, Central Darfur. This project provided two nutritious daily meals throughout the month to 70 vulnerable and orphaned children (ages 4–15) facing severe hardships.
Despite critical funding challenges and the ongoing crisis, our community kitchens in White Nile, Al Jazeera, and Khartoum States continue to serve roughly 1,600 people daily.
