Human Shine Dream

This 30 June, we celebrate the independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo. ??

But today, we are thinking especially of the Congolese refugee children who take part in our activities at Human Shine Dreams, here in Kakuma. Far from their homeland, they carry within them the history, culture, and resilience of a great people.

Through our SEL sessions, we support them as they grow, dream, and rediscover their light. Because a refugee child is still a child, with rights, dreams, and dignity.

Today, we honour their quiet strength, their smiles despite everything, and their ability to rebuild elsewhere.

Happy Independence Day to all Congolese people, wherever they are. ??
