Refugee Mental Health Network

Yesterday we took part in the National Summit on Strengthening Climate Adaptation for Refugee Women & Host Communities in Uganda, held at Fairway Hotel, Kampala, and organized by (REWON) in partnership with Oxfam in Uganda. The summit brought together refugee women-led organizations, policymakers, and partners to discuss how women from refugee & host communities can meaningfully engage in climate decision-making & lead resilience efforts.
It highlighted how climate change continues to affect displaced populations especially women who provide food, water, & energy for their families while recognizing them as key agents of change shaping Uganda’s climate response. This gathering marks a milestone in empowering refugee women to build a green, resilient future.
