Together we stand to make our children have access to quality education, yesterday we conducted community meeting at Supiri ECD centre. the aim of this meeting is to find out some gaps that hinders the community in supporting there own ECD centre. the challenges that affect the parents are, limited knowledge, skills and capacity to manage the ECD centres, limited resource at the centres e.g. play materials, lesson frame work, limited teaching materials and lack of funds to support the caregivers. the recommendation is that, there is need for capacity building training to the school management committee, child protection committee, and parents support group in other for them to have knowledge and skills for school management. there is need of locating some funds to facilitate the caregivers. and also there is need of supporting the ECD centres with teaching materials, like pens, counter books for lesson planing, learning frame work, marker pens, flip chart, and chocks. if we could be able to mobilise this resource we can make the ECD centres in imvepi refugee settlement better and conducive for learning
