ARK Network, in collaboration with AFID, recently held a workshop on the reintegration of young people trained in vocational skills but struggling to enter the job market.

We found that many had chosen training programs simply because they were available, not because they matched their real needs or career goals. This mismatch leaves them unprepared for professional integration.

To address this, we are launching complementary training programs designed to fill skill gaps and equip youth with practical, market-relevant abilities. Our aim is to support their successful employment and contribute to local economic growth.

From May 19 to 21, 2026, ARK Network had the honor of participating in a training session for women leaders organized by RLON Uganda in Mbarara.

As a women-led organization, we are proud to have shared this experience with other women’s organizations. The exchange allowed us to explore new approaches to better serve vulnerable communities in our sector.

Together, we strengthen women’s leadership and open innovative pathways toward a more just and inclusive future.

April 13 – Cohere Visit
Today, we had the honor of welcoming our partners from Cohere to our demonstration farm. This is where we raise rabbits and train our beneficiaries before providing them with animals to rear at home, strengthening food security.

We sincerely thank Cohere for trusting us. Their support inspires us to continue our mission and expand our impact within communities.

This site is more than a farm: it is a place of knowledge-sharing, empowerment, and hope. Together, we believe it is possible to build a better world, one household at a time.

FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
Corruption is one of the greatest obstacles to community development. It fuels injustice and denies equal access to humanitarian services. Every day, cases are reported in local leadership, the humanitarian sector, the church, and beyond. Two out of three victims say they received a service only after paying money or tips. This practice destroys dignity and blocks progress.

In the Rwamwanja refugee settlement, ARK supports vulnerable people and raises awareness across the community to denounce corruption. In each village, mobilizations are organized to discuss its harmful effects and ways to fight it. Radio programs also spread this message.

ENJOYMENT? A RIGHT, NOT A FAVOR

Living fully is a universal right.

In Uganda, this right remains utopian. Minorities face intimidation, threats, and violence. In Rwamwanja, LGBTI people suffer most: arbitrary arrests, assaults, and denial of services by actors influenced by religion or culture. Many live in fear and hide their identity.

Every day, a member of this community is attacked, beaten by police, or rejected by society. These violations block their growth and strip them of dignity.

ARK Network defends their rights through awareness campaigns, training for vulnerable groups, and advocacy with organizations that can support their well-being. Each campaign encourages pride, belonging, and peaceful coexistence.

They are ours, they are us, they deserve fulfilled lives!
