Yesterday we served 72 children in our KIPODI Program with Bible learning, play-based games, dance, a shared meal, and lessons about life beyond the settlement. The children worked together fetching water, preparing meals, praying, and supporting one another—a true picture of resilience.

Yet, we continue to face serious challenges: lack of water access, unsafe roads, no shelter, insufficient utensils, and new restrictions from the church we’ve been using.

We remain committed—but we urgently need partners who can stand with us to keep these weekly sessions running safely.

If your organization works in child protection, psychosocial support, education, or community development, we welcome collaboration as we grow this work.

KIPODI Weekly Reflections — The Mission Lives, The Vision Grows

Every week in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, the Kids’ Potential Development Initiative (KIPODI) continues to flourish as a safe, joyful, and spiritually nourishing home for our children. When we gather under the open sky, with songs, games, learning moments, and heartfelt smiles, we see exactly why God planted this vision in our hearts. What started as a simple desire to bring healing and hope has now grown into a place where children feel seen, loved, mentored, and allowed to dream again. Each Saturday reminds us that even in the middle of hardship, beauty still rises.

Through music, play-based learning, storytelling, devotion, dance, sports, and shared meals, we see children rebuilding confidence, forming friendships, discovering talents, and learning values that shape them for life. We also witness their leadership growing — from the way they pray, to the way they help each other fetch water, wash utensils, organize chairs, and teach one another new skills. We see healing in their laughter. We see purpose in their eyes. We see potential in every step they take. And this is why our mission continues with so much determination and love.

As KIPODI grows, our vision becomes clearer: to raise a generation of children who are spiritually grounded, emotionally strong, talented, confident, and prepared to transform their world. This mission is bigger than us, but every week God shows us it is possible. We remain deeply grateful to all who support, pray, encourage, and stand with us. The journey continues — one child, one Saturday, one smile, one prayer at a time. KIPODI is not just a program; it is a movement of hope, dignity, and transformation.
