About

Community Action for Safety and Equality (CASE) is a refugee-led human rights organisation committed to safeguarding the dignity, safety, and well-being of vulnerable and marginalized individuals in Kakuma Refugee Camp and surrounding communities. Established in 2023, CASE promotes community-driven protection, strengthens resilience, and advances equality through inclusive, rights-based programming. We support individuals and groups who face discrimination, exclusion, or violence, including children, women, persons with disabilities, survivors of gender-based violence, at-risk youth, and individuals experiencing stigma or marginalization due to identity or personal characteristics. Our work is anchored in compassion, non-discrimination, accountability, and the belief that every person deserves safety, respect, and equal opportunities. Our work is guided by dignity, empathy, and a strong commitment to human rights. Through advocacy, support services, and capacity-building, we engage refugees and host community members to take the lead in protecting children, empowering women, and resolving conflicts.
