Dadaab Collective is a Youth/Refugee/Women-led Organization founded by passionate young people from the refugee and host communities in Dadaab who wanted to create opportunities where few existed. The organization was formed with the aim of supporting young people to build better futures through education, digital skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community-driven solutions.Growing up in a refugee setting comes with many challenges, especially limited access to employment opportunities, quality training, and platforms where youth can fully use their talents and ideas. Dadaab Collective was created to respond to these challenges by helping young people gain practical skills, confidence, and opportunities that can improve their livelihoods and strengthen their communities.Our mission is to empower refugee and host community youth by providing access to digital learning, mentorship, innovation programs, and economic opportunities that promote self-reliance, creativity, and positive social impact. We believe that every young person has potential, and with the right support and opportunities, they can become leaders, innovators, and changemakers within their communities.Our vision is to build a community where young people are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society regardless of their background or circumstances.Dadaab Collective focuses on youth empowerment through digital literacy, freelancing, entrepreneurship, leadership development, mentorship, and community engagement. We support young people in gaining practical ICT and online work skills, while also encouraging innovation and collaboration among youth from diverse backgrounds.The organization also works to create safe and inclusive spaces where youth, women, and marginalized groups can learn, share ideas, and participate in community development initiatives. Through partnerships with local organizations, institutions, and development partners, Dadaab Collective continues to promote locally led solutions that address real community needs.One of our key goals is to prepare youth for the growing digital economy by connecting them to learning opportunities, mentorship, and pathways to online employment and entrepreneurship. At the same time, we aim to strengthen community resilience by encouraging active youth participation, innovation, and social responsibility.Through its work, Dadaab Collective continues to inspire hope, build skills, and create opportunities for young people in Dadaab and beyond.
