About Global innovations for Vulnerable and Environment GIVE

GIVE is a Community-Based organization (CBO)/Refugee Led Organization (RLO) operating on non- profit terms founded in 2020 with a big impact. We operate with a key aim of improving on the lives of Vulnerable persons by addressing the deficiency in health, environment, education and developing the livelihoods of vulnerable persons residing in the Ugandan refugee settlement for a better and sustainable life. GIVE Currently operates and serve locally within Kyaka II refugee settlement in southwestern Uganda. Was founded by Patient Kabenga an ambitious refugee who witnessed the suffering of fellow refugees while fleeing from conflict in DRC and seeking asylum in the Ugandan refugee settlement since 2007. We are driven by the vision of creating a better everyday life for humanity. Our mission is to support humanity improve on their welfare starting with the most vulnerable population more especially the Forcefully displaced and stateless persons (FDSPs) and the host population Vision: Create a better everyday life for humanity. Mission Statement: Support humanity in improving their welfare. Key Areas of Work/implemented interventions include(but not limited to): Environment Health: Environmental protection, sanitation, hygiene, public health promotion and solid waste management. Community Health: Primary Health Care, Infection, Prevention and control(IPC), Sexual reproductive health (SRH)services, maternal and child health, hygiene materials, and home nursing. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS): Comprehensive counseling for gender bassed violence(GBV) trauma survivors. Agriculture: Enhance agricultural productivity and local markets. Education: Ensure access to quality education.
