Eligibility Requirements:

* Graduate of HESP Cohort One or Cohort Two.

* Available to volunteer throughout HESP Cohort Three.

* Reliable internet access and a device for online participation.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Passionate about supporting refugee youth in accessing higher education opportunities.

📅 Volunteer Period: July – December 2026

⏰ Expected Commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per week

Concluding HESP Cohort Two Training & Mentorship 🎓

On 10th May 2026 at 3:00 PM EAT, Inspire for Change-CBO will conclude the Higher Education Support Project (HESP) Cohort Two with a final session led by Deborah and Bambi from EARTH University on: “How to Handle Essays and Interview Questions.”

For the past four months, students have shown resilience, commitment, and determination throughout the mentorship journey. We extend our sincere appreciation to all facilitators and mentors for dedicating their time and expertise to support refugee learners.

Day 2 Update: Construction of Inspire for Change CBO Educational Hall.

We are excited to share the progress of our Educational Hall construction, now on Day 2, made possible through the generous support of Cohere.

Significant progress has been made as the team works on erecting the main structure. The wooden framework is taking shape, marking an important step toward creating a safe and functional learning space for our community.

Meet Susan Nachai Louis, a South Sudanese refugee currently living in Kalobeyei Settlement and a beneficiary of the 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗣) – 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝗲.

In the attached video, Susan shares her journey through the HESP training and mentorship program, highlighting how the sessions equipped her with guidance on scholarship applications, including writing strong essays, motivation letters, and academic CVs.

Here is what Susan shared:

“The project offers free assistance and mentorship that helps refugee youth generate scholarship essays and prepare academic documents such as motivation letters and academic CVs. I previously lacked information and guidance on scholarship opportunities, but through the training and mentorship, my confidence has greatly improved.”

Susan’s experience reflects the impact of our training and mentorship on refugee youth.
