Inspire for Change (I4C) is a legally registered refugee-led Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya, registered under number DSD/23/124/02/156207 and established in June 2023 in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Turkana West Sub-County. The organization was founded by refugee youth to address critical challenges affecting refugees and host communities, including limited access to tertiary education opportunities, inadequate livelihood opportunities, unsustainable environmental practices, and low digital literacy.I4C works to empower refugee youth aged 18–35 and members of the host community by promoting education, sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation, and digital literacy. Through training, mentorship, partnerships, and capacity-building initiatives, the organization equips young people with the skills and knowledge needed to become self-reliant and active contributors to their communities.Collaboration is central to I4C’s approach. The organization actively partners with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, donors, private sector actors, media, and academic institutions to build strong networks that enhance the impact of community-driven initiatives.Mission: To empower refugees and host communities to achieve sustainable development through livelihood opportunities, expanded access to higher education, climate action and environmental conservation, and improved digital skills.Vision: To build resilient refugee and host communities where individuals are inspired, empowered, and equipped to drive positive and lasting change while contributing to a fair, inclusive, and sustainable society.
