Yesterday, Kalobeyei Integrated Youth Progress (KIYP) CBO officially launched the KIYP Green School Project and the Community Dividend Fund, marking an important step toward quality education, climate resilience, Clean Cooking energy and sustainable community development.

The project features climate-resilient classrooms, clean energy, a modern kitchen, and environmental education, creating a safe and sustainable learning environment for children.

The launch brought together representatives from UNHCR, DRS, the Turkana County Government, IsraAID, UN-Habitat, SOLCO Partnership, SWEEP Partnership, GIZ, Mwangaza Light, LWF, Lokado, Last Mile Climate, and Takazuri Limited, demonstrating the power of collaboration.

The new classrooms will enhance learning, while the clean kitchen promotes clean cooking, better hygiene, and an improved school feeding program. Together, we are investing in children's futures, climate action, and stronger, more resilient communities.

We were honored to welcome our valued Partner COHERE to Kalobeyei Integrated Youth Progress for a visit to our Regenerative Agriculture Project in Kalobeyei.
The visit provided an opportunity to share the progress, achievement and impact of the project which is empowering refugees through sustainable farming practices, improved food security and climate resilience.
