About NILE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT NETWORK

Nile community empowerment Network (NICEN) is a developmental, non-profit, humanitarian, charity, community based non-governmental organization headed by women which was formed in 2017 by a group of women and men from both refugees and Ugandan nationals who are determined and personate to lift up the people and empower them to do more in the development of refugees settlements with the hosting districts, region and Uganda as a nation at large. NICEN is registered with Madi Okollo district Local Government under the community services department with registration Certificate no.633/019, specifically in the areas of, Education, Agriculture and livelihood, Environment and natural resources. NICEN works both independently or through partnership with other like-minded individuals, organizations, corporations and Government entities to serve as a bridge between poverty and improve livelihood in communities across settlements in Uganda and beyond for better existence. The organization focuses on empowering the communities and individuals with knowledge and skills that will help them improve their livelihoods, improve household income, food security, healthy living and eventually achieve sustainable development. Our main Priority is on girl child education and women empowerment. Being established on humanitarian basis NICEN under takes to reach out to people of all spheres of life and in all places with the good innovation strategies aimed at advancing communities for better existence.
