Under The Dignity, Production and Recovery Project funded by UNHCR through OCHA we have successfully concluded a 3-day Caseworker Induction Training in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. Nine caseworkers from a refugee-led consortium comprising RYRUID UGANDA, HuSA, and UMRF completed practical assessments and deployment prep.
The intensive training equipped participants with essential skills in case management, protection mainstreaming, safeguarding, AAP, MHPSS, disability inclusion, VSLAs, livelihood support, referral pathways, and community outreach.
As a refugee-led consortium initiative, the project emphasizes locally led action, where refugee-led organizations design and implement solutions for their own communities. By integrating livelihoods, psychosocial support, financial inclusion, and community-based protection, the project aims to build resilience, restore dignity, and create sustainable recovery pathways for vulnerable refugee and host households.
