Under The Dignity, Production and Recovery Project funded by UNHCR through OCHA we have successfully concluded a 3-day Caseworker Induction Training in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. Nine caseworkers from a refugee-led consortium comprising RYRUID UGANDA, HuSA, and UMRF completed practical assessments and deployment prep.

​The intensive training equipped participants with essential skills in case management, protection mainstreaming, safeguarding, AAP, MHPSS, disability inclusion, VSLAs, livelihood support, referral pathways, and community outreach.

​As a refugee-led consortium initiative, the project emphasizes locally led action, where refugee-led organizations design and implement solutions for their own communities. By integrating livelihoods, psychosocial support, financial inclusion, and community-based protection, the project aims to build resilience, restore dignity, and create sustainable recovery pathways for vulnerable refugee and host households.
