Safe Flame Africa is a community-based organization dedicated to protecting women and girls from sexual and gender-based violence associated with firewood collection, while promoting environmental sustainability through clean energy solutions. Rooted in the heart of Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, Nkoma Zone, Nkoma A, SFA intends to empower Refugee and host communities with practical tools for safety, dignity and resilience. To fulfill its mission, Safe Flame Africa( SFA) has started to implement the following key programs:- Protection And Advocacy: Conduct awareness campaigns on gender-based violence and safe energy practices - Briquette Production And Distribution: Train women in eco-friendly briquette-making using locally available waste materials. Develop production hubs and distribution networks to ensure consistent access to clean, affordable energy. - Stove-Making and Energy Efficiency Training: Offer hands-on training in designing and constructing fuel-efficient stoves compatible with briquettes. Promote safe cooking that reduces smoke inhalation, fire hazards and environmental degradation. Encourage innovation using locally sourced materials to ensure affordability and community ownership. - Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship: Provide workshops in business skills, branding, financial literacy and digital marketing. Support the growth of women-led enterprises and cooperatives, fostering economic independence and leadership.
