Social Care Development Organisation (SCDO) is a community-based organization in Kenya dedicated to improving the lives of refugees, host communities, and other vulnerable populations. Our work focuses on three key areas: protection, ensuring the safety, dignity, and rights of vulnerable people; livelihoods, empowering individuals and families with skills, entrepreneurship, and income-generating opportunities to achieve self-reliance; and community resilience, strengthening communities to prepare for, adapt to, and recover from social, economic, and environmental challenges. Through community-led programs, partnerships, and advocacy, SCDO promotes inclusion, builds hope, and creates sustainable opportunities that enable people and communities across Kenya to thrive.
