Erick once carried his few schoolbooks in a torn plastic bag, often arriving at school with wet pages and a heavy heart. Through VICDA’s CarePlus project, Erick received a new school bag — a small gift that changed everything. With his books protected and neatly organized, Erick’s confidence grew. He now walks proudly to school, eager to learn and dream. For him, this bag is more than just a school item — it’s a symbol of hope, dignity, and a new chance at education.

Empowering Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in Kyaka II Through our CarePlus project, VICDA distributed essential scholastic materials — bags, books, pens, pencils, and math sets — to 26 orphaned and vulnerable refugee children in Kyaka II. This initiative promotes access to quality education, boosts confidence, and enhances learning outcomes, helping children reach their full potential.
