Women concern and ideas (WCI) is a registered nonprofit refugee women led community based organization with its head office in village one, zone 3 Bidibidi refugee settlement kululu sub county yumbe district Uganda with work operation locations in Bidibidi settlement zone 3. Women concern and ideas(WCI) was founded in 2021 as a community based organisation by a group of progressive and committed refugee women who were once victims of gender based violence and sexual harassment cases in south Sudan due to the insurgency and also in zone 3 Bidibidi refugee settlement and this triggered them to form this organisation to create awareness on GBV, sexual harassment and sexual reproductive health and rights for women, girls and young people within the communities of zone 3 Bidibidi settlement and Yumbe district at large. Women concern and ideas (WCI)’s core thematic areas are; General protection, community health promotion, education (non-formal and vocational skilling), environment and climate change mitigation and livelihoods Therefore women concern and ideas intends to implement: Empowering Youth, Preventing Teenage pregnancy; A Community Based Awareness project in Yumbe district which is intending to reach 1015 young people, youths and women with free access to quality SRHR and GBV information and services at lower community levels of Yumbe district.
