About Youth Association for Peace and Development YAPD

Youth Association for Peace and Development (YAPD) was established on April 5, 2018, as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) and later transitioned to a National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) on January 5, 2024, in the Republic of South Sudan. As a refugee-led organization, YAPD is dedicated to mitigating suffering through the provision of lifesaving assistance and holistic social services to the most vulnerable communities, with a particular focus on the inclusion, protection, and development of women, Girls, children, and youth. VISION STATEMENT Our vision is to seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security. MISSION “Is to inspire, empower and transform communities to move towards self-reliance through provision of social services and development assistance”
