Action for Hope Foundation implemented a transformative peacebuilding project in Mangateen IDP camp, Juba, South Sudan. The project empowered young people including, women survivors of communal conflict with livelihood skills, psychosocial support, and trauma healing therapy. These women, displaced during the 2016 war, gained confidence and self-esteem, producing handcrafted goods like baskets, soaps, and moisturizers. They also learned about transitional justice and human rights, advocating for their community's rights. This initiative, supported by the our Board of Directors Peacebuilding Program, fostered reconciliation, healing, and sustainable economic growth, creating a ripple effect of peace in the community.
