This program trains women and community members in sustainable farming using permaculture techniques and livelihood. The goal is to promote food security, income generation, and climate resilience. The project introduces permaculture and organic farming methods that work with nature instead of against it. The aim is to restore soil fertility, grow healthy vegetables, and teach the community how to farm sustainably using natural manure and traditional plant-based treatments. This project aims to improve food security, health, and environmental sustainability by training the community in permaculture, organic manure production, and natural plant healing methods. This particular project has assigned specific objectives which are: 1. To train farmers and youth on how to farm without chemical fertilizers and pesticides 2. To produce and use organic manure from locally available materials 3. To teach preparation of traditional plant-based solutions to treat vegetable and tree diseases 4. To establish a permaculture demonstration garden as a learning center 5. To improve soil fertility and increase production of healthy vegetables Beneficiaries will be trained on: • Principles of permaculture • Crop rotation and mixed cropping • Mulching to conserve soil moisture • Composting instead of chemical fertilizers • Natural pest control methods.
