We implemented a Food Forest Livelihoods Project in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, to improve food security, environmental conservation, and household incomes among refugees and host communities. The project established food forests using climate-smart agriculture, fruit trees, vegetables, and agroforestry practices. Participants received training in sustainable farming, compost production, water conservation, and small-scale income generation. Community members, including women and youth, gained practical skills to produce nutritious food and reduce dependence on aid. The project also promoted environmental restoration, resilience to climate change, and strengthened community self-reliance and livelihoods. in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, to improve food security, environmental conservation, and household incomes among refugees and host communities.
