Kalobeyei Integrated Youth Progress is a Refugee-led Organization implements inclusive community-driven education initiative targeting Refugee and host community children in kalobeyei settlement camp. Our education program aims to improve access to quality education (learning) and promote equity in education for vulnerable children include those with disabilities and girls at risk of dropping out. Key activities 1. Daily learning sessions: structured lessons in early literacy, numeracy and language development using play-based on interactive methods. 2. Incorporation of social emotional learning, stories, songs and games. 3. Play-based learning : provision of indoor and outdoor play materials that stimulate creativity, motor skills and social interaction 4. Parental and caregiver Engagement: regular meeting and sessions for parents on child development and positive parenting 5. Teacher capacity-building: ongoing training and mentorship for ECD teachers on child-centered methodologies, inclusive education, social emotional learning and classroom management. 6. Child protection and psychosocial support: safe, child-friendly space with emotional support, storytelling, drawing and role-play to help children express emotions and build resilience. 7. Monitoring and Evaluation: regular assessment of children development milestones and leaning progress and feedback systems for parents, teachers and community members. 8. Community Mobilization and Awareness: we do campaign to raise awareness about the importance of ECD learning and social emotional learning for children in kalobeyei. 9. Remedial learning Support: catch-up sessions for children lagging behind in literacy and numeracy.
