Agribusiness Livelihoods Initiative This agribusiness project aims to enhance food security, income generation, and economic resilience among vulnerable households, with a strong focus on women, youth, GBV survivors, and marginalized community members. The project promotes climate-smart and market-oriented agriculture as a pathway to sustainable livelihoods and self-reliance. Participants will be supported through practical training on crop and vegetable production, sustainable land use, soil and water conservation, pest management, and post-harvest handling. Demonstration farms will be established to provide hands-on learning and promote the adoption of improved agricultural practices suited to the local environment. The project will also facilitate access to essential farming inputs such as seeds, tools, and irrigation support, enabling participants to increase productivity and diversify crops. Emphasis will be placed on high-value and fast-growing crops that respond to local market demand. To strengthen economic outcomes, the project will integrate basic agribusiness skills, including farm planning, value addition, storage, pricing, and market linkage development. By connecting producers to local markets and cooperatives, participants will improve household incomes while contributing to community food availability. Overall, the project supports dignified livelihoods, resilience, and long-term economic empowerment through sustainable agribusiness development.
