Community building and empowerment projects are crucial for fostering inclusive and resilient society. We organized a football tournament among the urban refugee's community youths few months ago across the regions of Nakuru county and its environs mainly to engage youths not to dwell much on drugs and crimes. Field department of of refugee service in Nakuru facilitated a field for the finals and UNHCR Kenya donated balls for the 12 participating teams in order to educate youths on drugs prevention measures, crime awareness, engaging them to be active in the community, provide innovative opportunities for the youths, cultural exchange programs and youths empowerments. Lovely and hope supported 10 ladies as a way of supporting and empowerment of women programs in this region. South wings link also did a community healthy medical camps through HESED Africa, Afia Equity and BLiss to the urban refugees' community in Nakuru and its environs. Alliance for African assistance through GIZ tried 150 peace ambassadors in Nakuru to deal with the issues of conflict resolutions in our regions and Refugee consortium of kenya(RCK) empower 10 urban refugees well trained Professional counselors through Amani Counseling College in order to help on mental health and support in our community.
