2. Target on ICT trainings was for 72-75 teachers: 42 teachers trained (24 males and 18 females) with 33 teachers as variance to the target. the teachers were for the above mentioned schools.
3. Community mobilizations within Rwamwanja refugee settlement: target 13 zones. we conducted YTT-gender equality go back to school mobilizations in Kyempango, Mahega, Mahani, Nkoma, Kaihora, kikurura, Buguta, Wijagahe, Basecamp zones and so far we have covered 9 zones since the start of the project December 2022.
We have come to know how great the gender equality program is building the capacity of the learners and this has increased the number of boys and girls in schools. In the community, parents at large have really appreciated the positive impact this program is creating to their children. and the lesson learned for the ICT sessions was that computer skills are very necessary in helping computer users to secure documents for future reference and make work easy. Teachers were very excited to this program since the world is shifting to digitalization.
as Alpha Elimu, we anticipated that after the YTT session, teachers could benefit if they are more engaged in practical as well as engaging the learners. and there is still a need in the community of the ICT skills because we provided only the basics, our means of digitalization were limited, this brought us to a point of advocating for more funding in order to address this problem since these learners are the hope of the tomorrow world.
