GALDO CBO is a Refugee/Youth/PWD-Led Organization committed to promote sustainable development and resilience among refugees and host communities. GALDO is registered organization under Social Development Office Dadaab, the CBO was established in the year 2021 by refugees and host youths, our mission is to enhance livelihoods, environmental conservation, and economic empowerment through initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We focus on practical, community-driven solutions to address pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges.The organization was founded to address the growing challenges of unemployment, poor waste management, and environmental degradation within refugee and host communities. My Waste, My Cash!

However, the sun was scorching, so we had to keep our community members busy collecting plastic waste to earn an income rather than sitting idle.

Madam Agnes is happy because she met her target after her hard work paid off. She has been engaged in this work for several months. Previously, she used to transport her items to Garissa, but she has now opted to bring them to the GALDO centre which is the closest onset market for this initiative compared to GSA.
