Our goal is to empower people living with disability with life skills to become the protagonists of their dignity and development of self-reliance and resilience.
HPD is a community-based organization for people with disabilities, founded in 2018 in the Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, Kamwenge District, Uganda. We are registered with the government of Uganda through the local council authority and are recognized among the refugee-led organizations mapped by UNHCR in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement. HPD is a member of the Rwamwanja Refugee Led Organizations Network (RRLON).
WE WORK TOGETHER ON ** AGRICULTURE cultivate vegetables and fruits ** LEISURE avoid loneliness that can lead to depression ** ADVOCACY obtain support ** LIFE SKILLS TRAINING sandal making and repairing, carpentry, and soap making
