About Luckista Unite

Luckista Unite is a Youth and Women Focused Organization with a purpose to advance the social and economic empowerment of youth and women as well as addressing their humanitarian needs. Luckista Unite was founded by current and former Refugees to support Refugees, IDPs, Returnees and their host communities. The main thematic areas of Luckista Unite Include 1. Youth economic empowerment and livelihood 2. Child protection and Gender Based Violence 3. Health and Nutrition 4. Inclusive quality education Luckista Unite implements development and Humanitarian programs in South Sudan. Our projects are geared towards reducing suffering of the most vulnerable members of the society especially Youth and Women affected by conflict and natural disasters to recover and lead a dignified life. We collaborate with partners and donor agencies to design and implement development and humanitarian programs through collaborative efforts to improve efficiency in services delivery

16 Days of Activism – Rajaf, Central Equatoria State ✨
Theme: Act Now! End Digital Abuse and Exploitation Against Women and Girls

On 5 December 2025, Luckista Unite joined communities in Rajaf East to mark the 16 Days of Activism, calling for urgent action to end online harassment, cyberbullying, and digital exploitation affecting women and girls in Central Equatoria State. Digital spaces must be safe, empowering, and free from violence.

We appreciate the partnership of the State Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, UNMISS, IsraAID, UNHCR, UNICEF, Norwegian Church Aid, DanChurchAid, Oxfam, World Vision, Nile Hope, and many others whose support made this day impactful.

Today marks the official commencement of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign that calls for collective action to prevent and eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. In South Sudan, this year’s theme resonates deeply as communities, organizations, and leaders unite to amplify voices, challenge harmful norms, and foster safer environments for all.

Luckista Unite, together with its partners, proudly joined the national launch event in Juba today.

Great strides at Luckista Unite!

In the first two weeks of November 2025, we conducted two comprehensive mentorship sessions on practical business skills in Mangateen IDP Settlement, targeting 40 youth and women from IDP and returnee communities. The mentorships were delivered by Luckista Unite staff and led by a consultant from Pro-Tec Africa, ensuring participants gained hands-on knowledge and guidance for starting and managing small businesses.

This activity is part of our ongoing project funded by UNHCR, aimed at building the economic resilience of displaced and vulnerable households. The participants’ energy, passion, and commitment to learning were truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the positive transformation their new skills will drive.
