The training aims to support vulnerable young people, including 70% girls and 30% boys, who are committed to learning entrepreneurial skills, business, Marketing ,Village Savings and Loan Association. A VSLA is a community-based financial institution that helps members, often in rural or low-income areas, save money to overcome challenges and contribute to their communities. The project specifically targets orphans, teenage mothers, single mothers, and other underprivileged youth. Through activities such as home visits, mobilization efforts, and tailored training sessions, this collaboration seeks to equip participants with the skills needed to support their families and build a better future. NOPEI, a refugee-led organization, recently conducted a training session to educate beneficiaries of our initiative. We are proud to see refugees from the Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement becoming more aware of environmental protection practices. During the training, participants learned sustainable ways to gather and use cooking materials, with a strong emphasis on protecting our environment. NOPEI introduced methods for creating eco-friendly charcoal and demonstrated the use of efficient stoves that require less charcoal, making them both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
