Today at TEACH FOR COMMUNITY we decided to test that idea and the results have been powerful. We launched a U14–U9 football tournament to give children something meaningful to do during the long school break. Why? Because when kids are busy, supported, and excited about something positive, they naturally stay away from crime, drugs, and negative influences. This isn’t just a tournament it’s a behavior-change campaign disguised as fun. Through football we are: ⚽ Keeping kids active and safe ⚽ Teaching teamwork, discipline, and respect ⚽ Building community unity ⚽ Protecting young people from risky environments If you believe in simple solutions that create real impact, this is one of them.

Today, I am excited to share a new milestone in our mission to empower young learners with practical knowledge that transforms communities. In collaboration with TEACH FOR COMMUNITY (TFC) and our valued partner Amala Global, we have developed an interactive learning initiative titled “Economics for Positive Change.” This program equips students with essential economic understanding such as: Needs, wants & resource allocation Supply and demand in real life, Entrepreneurship for social impact, financial literacy and responsible decision-making, Community-driven problem solving and Through simulations, storytelling, teamwork, and real-life community challenges, students learn how economic choices shape their future and the world around them.

Our goal is simple: To raise young changemakers who use knowledge, innovation, and leadership to create positive and lasting transformation. I’m proud of this collaboration and the shared commitment to empowering refugee and host communities with skills that matter.

Celebrating Our Future Changemakers Teach For Community CBO, in partnership with Amala Global Education, is proud to celebrate the graduation of our first Social Entrepreneurship Program cohort (2025) — 33 students (13 female, 20 male). Over the past 3 months months, these young leaders have built skills in entrepreneurial thinking, social impact design, community engagement, and leadership. Beyond learning, the program empowered them with purpose and capacity to drive meaningful change in their communities. We are grateful to Amala Global Education, our facilitators, and community leaders for making this milestone possible. These graduates now step forward as changemakers, ready to lead with dignity, innovation, and resilience.
