YETC was founded on May 25/2022, in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, as a community-based nonprofit organization designed to uplift orphans, vulnerable youth, and host community members. Its core mission is to offer them access to quality education, daily meals, entrepreneurial and vocational skills, emotional support, and safe accommodation, thereby promoting personal growth and community integration. The organization aims to build a resilient and empowered community where every individual recognizes and develops their talents, fosters social networks, and contributes meaningfully to society.Why the Youth Education and Talent Center (YETC) Was EstablishedTo empower youth and orphans through holistic education and life skills training.To provide nutritious meals and supportive living environments for vulnerable groups.To foster a sense of responsibility, personal talent, and self-reliance via entrepreneurial initiatives.To build inclusive community connections between refugees and host populations.Vision: To build a strong community where everyone discovers their talent, creates meaningful social networks, and contributes positively within both the community and the host community.Mission: To empower youth to understand and embrace their responsibilities through education and by nurturing their unique aptitudes to become active and responsible members of society.Goal: To promote youth talent through inclusive education, free from discrimination, and to support each young person in both the community and the host community to realize and develop their full potential. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES.1. To build a strong, inclusive community that inspires youth and community members to discover and shape their future. 2. To nurture and develop the talents of young people without discrimination or hypocrisy, supporting both the community and the host community.3. To offer special programs including sports, creative activities, and inclusive opportunities that help youth, people with disabilities (including the deaf community), and others unlock their creativity and potential. 4. To promote individual development by providing opportunities for learners to discover and develop their unique talents, interests, and abilities while building strong character traits such as honesty, responsibility, and respect.
