We led an ongoing community building and empowerment project in Durban focused on strengthening solidarity among asylum seekers, refugees, migrants, and vulnerable communities. The project created safe spaces for dialogue, participatory learning, and collective problem-solving around challenges such as unemployment, inequality, and social exclusion. Through workshops, leadership development, and community forums, participants built advocacy and organisational skills. The initiative also supported small income-generating activities and cooperative efforts to improve livelihoods. By fostering unity across diverse groups, the project contributes to building resilient, inclusive communities capable of advancing social justice and sustainable development.
