In 2024, EcoRise South implemented a community-based peacebuilding initiative to foster social cohesion in conflict-prone areas. Through interactive dialogues, youth forums, and cultural exchange programs, we brought together diverse ethnic and religious groups to address tensions and promote reconciliation. The project trained 150 local peace ambassadors to mediate disputes and organize community peace activities. Partnering with elders, women’s groups, and local authorities, we reached over 10,000 people, reducing hostilities and encouraging collaborative development efforts. The initiative strengthened trust among divided communities and laid the groundwork for sustainable peace through ongoing dialogue and shared projects.
