Peace Keeping / Peace Building

One project we worked on in this sector was the Unity and Reconciliation Project in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, Uganda, led by Hope Ignites Initiative Organization from January to December 2024. The project aimed to promote unity and reconciliation among over 80,000 refugees from DRC, Burundi, and Rwanda. We conducted community meetings, training on conflict resolution, cultural events, and dialogue sessions, reaching 925 people. Key outcomes included improved relationships, increased dialogue, and stronger community cohesion. Challenges such as language barriers and cultural differences were addressed through continued engagement and language support to sustain peace efforts.
