Safe Flame Project — Empowering Women, Protecting Children, Promoting Clean Energy The Safe Flame Project is an ongoing initiative focused on training women and girls in briquette-making and entrepreneurship. By learning how to produce briquettes from agricultural waste, participants are gaining the skills and confidence to become self-reliant and economically empowered. This training is more than just a livelihood opportunity — it’s a path to restoring dignity and safety. With access to clean, locally made briquettes: - Women and girls will no longer face sexual violence linked to long-distance firewood collection. - Children will no longer be forced to drop out of school to gather firewood. - Families will be protected from harmful smoke inhalation, improving their health and well-being. Currently, 20 women are undergoing training, and the community has responded positively to the first samples of our briquettes. The feedback is encouraging and shows that this solution is both practical and impactful.
