Livelihoods

Shadee Global bridges the gap between urban refugee artisans in Kenya and the global economy. By showcasing their handmade crafts, such as patchwork kanga bags, oven gloves, blankets and duvets, on an international platform, we ensure fair prices and sustainable income. This initiative empowers refugees, especially women and youth, who face barriers to formal employment, allowing them to provide for their families and express their creativity. Shadee Global keeps artisans updated on global trends in handmade crafts and guides them in producing high-quality products that meet international standards. This ensures their crafts are competitive and aligns with global market demands. After attaining adequate funds, Shadee Global aims to start providing tailoring, design, and entrepreneurial skills training to urban refugees to reach and empower more urban refugees.
