Community Building & Empowerment

The project focused on strengthening community resilience and promoting women’s participation in peacebuilding and decision-making processes within Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement. Through awareness sessions, psychosocial support, and livelihood training, Yes She Is for Peace and Development Organization (YSIPDO) empowered women, youth, and persons with special needs to actively engage in community development. The initiative also created safe spaces for dialogue, encouraging peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities. As a result, participants gained essential skills, improved confidence, and built stronger networks that enhanced both individual and collective wellbeing.
