Under Environment, Nature, and Climate Change Action, we promote climate resilience through awareness creation and agroforestry interventions among refugee and host communities. Since 2024, we have planted over 4,000 fruit trees at household level in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, including pawpaw, guava, mango, orange, and avocado varieties. These trees contribute to environmental restoration by improving soil health, increasing tree cover, and enhancing carbon sequestration. At the same time, they strengthen household food security and nutrition through sustainable fruit production. This integrated approach links climate action with livelihoods and nutrition outcomes, ensuring both ecological and socio-economic benefits.
